The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) is receiving submissions for the M-ERA.Net 2017 call for proposals. Researchers associated with higher education and research institutions and companies in the State of São Paulo can participate.

M-ERA.NET is an EU funded network which has been established to support and increase the coordination of European research and innovation programmes and related funding in materials science and engineering.

The objective of the M-ERA.NET Call 2017 (https://m-era.net/joint-calls/joint-call-2017/2017-guideforproposers.pdf) is to enable transnational R&D projects between partners receiving funding from regional/national programmes.

The call is opened for proposals in the the following topics: Integrated computational materials engineering; Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces; High performance composites; Multifunctional materials; New strategies for advanced material-based technologies in health applications; Materials for additive manufacturing.

Proposals to FAPESP must be submitted either as a Regular Research Awards or as a Technological Innovation in Small Businesses Program (PIPE – phase II) scheme.

As June 13 is the deadline for submitting pre-proposals to the Consortium M-ERA.NET, eligibility consultation received by FAPESP after May 23 may not be answered in a timely manner.

Every proposal must have a principal investigator in the State of São Paulo and, in accordance with the guidelines of the M-ERA.NET Call, include at least three researchers from at least two different countries, participants in the call.

Information about the call for proposals is available at: www.fapesp.br/10871.
