  A oportunidade é para o projeto pertencente ao Plano de Desenvolvimento Institucional da Pesquisa (PDIP), cujo objetivo será o desenvolvimento de soluções científicas e tecnológicas que propiciem respostas rápidas e oportunas para o fortalecimento de ações laboratoriais de vigilância em Saúde.

  Coordenado pelo Dr. Carlos Roberto Prudencio, o projeto visa realizar varredura sistemática de epítopos para a definição de repertório imune humoral e, consequentemente, a história de infecções virais. Será utilizado um método programável e de alto rendimento para analisar anticorpos de forma abrangente, usando imunoprecipitação e sequenciamento de DNA via bioseleção de uma biblioteca em bacteriófago que apresenta cobertura protéica de polipeptídeos dos principais arbovírus e vírus emergentes de interesse em Saúde Pública.

  O pesquisador realizará coleta e identificação de amostras sorológicas. Suas atividades incluem a utilização de vários métodos celulares e moleculares para caracterizar o repertório imunológico humoral, bem como de técnicas baseadas em engenharia genética, Phage Display, sequenciamento de última geração e bioinformática.

  Pré-requisitos: doutorado em área relacionada a biotecnologia moleculares; experiência em projetos envolvendo técnicas de imunologia e biologia molecular principalmente em vírus.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 15% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  One post-doctoral opportunity is available to work at a project belonging to PDIP, the Institutional Research Development Plan, a program created and funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), the scientific funding agency based in the state of São Paulo, Brazil

  The objective of this project will be the development of scientific and technological solutions that will provide rapid and timely responses to strengthen laboratory actions in health surveillance. The project which is coordinated by Dr. Carlos Roberto Prudencio, aims to perform systematic scanning of epitopes for the definition of humoral immune repertoire and consequently the history of viral infections. The methodology comprises a programmable and high-throughput approach to comprehensively analyze antibodies using immunoprecipitation and massive DNA sequencing using a bacteriophage library which exhibits protein coverage of polypeptides of the major arboviruses and emerging viruses of interest in Public Health.

  The researcher will carry out collection and identification of serological samples, besides using several cellular and molecular methods to characterizes humoral immune repertoire, and techniques based on genetic engineering, synthetic biology, phage display, microarray, deep sequencing and bioinformatics.

  Prerequisites: Doctorate in molecular biotechnologies; experience in immunology and molecular biology techniques mainly in viruses.

  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
