  • Resumo Summary

    Trata-se de um estágio para um técnico de nível TT-4 cuja principal função será trabalhar junto ao grupo de óptica adaptativa recém formado no IAG, que irá fazer um experimento de óptica adaptativa em comprimento de onda do óptico para o instrumento G-CLEF. O técnico deverá, entre outras coisas, planejar e codificar os softwares que farão a interface com os componentes eletrônicos da óptica adaptativa.

    O bolsista participará do desenvolvimento do instrumento G-CLEF, em parceria com a University of Harvard. Fará parte do Grupo GMTBrO — GMT Brazil Office (situado no IAG/USP) e será requisitado a dar suporte ao Projeto GMT Fapesp. Após selecionado pela coordenação do projeto, o bolsista vai se reportar a um Grupo Sênior de Astrônomos e Engenheiros, envolvido no CDR (Critical Design Review) do instrumento G-CLEF.

    O principal objetivo desta bolsa é dar suporte em software aos pesquisadores que estão trabalhando no sistema de óptica adaptativa, tecnologia estratégica para a nova geração de instrumentos e detectores em astronomia de solo. O desempenho de softwares nesta área é importante, pois as correções mecânicas (atuadores em um espelho deformável) são aplicadas em tempo real, a partir de detectores de alta resolução temporal e espacial.

    Os softwares que serão planejados e codificados farão a interface com os componentes eletrônicos da ótica adaptativa, e deverão seguir padronizações, tanto do instrumento e quanto a exibida pelo GMTO, organização responsável pelo telescópio e observatório.

    Requisitos:
    - Graduado, especialista em TI, com pelo menos 2 anos de experiência;
    - Não ter vínculo empregatício;
    - Conhecimentos de lógica de programação, Linux, e JavaScript (GoogleV8 e d3.js desejáveis);
    - Conhecimentos em astrofísica observacional, em sistemas de controle multivariável e em EtherCAT são desejáveis.

    Documentos para inscrição:

    - Currículo;
    - Link para o CV Lattes ou link para o Google Scholar;
    - 1 carta de referência.

    This is an internship for a TT-4 technician whose main function will be working with the newly formed adaptive optics group at IAG, which will perform an optical wavelength experiment of adaptive optics for the G-CLEF instrument. The technician will, among other things, plan and codify the software that will interface with the electronic components of the adaptive optics.

    The fellow will be participating in the development of the G-CLEF Instrument, in partnership with the University of Harvard. It will be part of the GMTBrO Group (GMT Brazil Office), situated at IAG/USP, São Paulo, where it will be necessary to support the GMT Fapesp Project. After selected by the Project Coordination,  the fellow will report to a Senior Group of Astronomers and Engineers who are currently participating in the CDR (Critical Design Review) of the G-CLEF instrument.

    The main objective of this scholarship is to support in software the researchers who are working in the adaptive optics system, strategic for a new generation of instruments and detectors in soil astronomy. In this area, a software performance is important, since mechanical corrections (actuators in a deformable mirror) are applied in real time from high temporal and spatial resolution detectors.

    The software that will be planned and coded will interface with the electronic components of the adaptive optics, and will follow the standardization of the instrument and the one defined by the organization responsible for the telescope and observatory, the GMTO.

    Requirements:

    - Graduated, IT specialist, with at least 2 years of experience;
    - Not having an employment relationship;
    - Knowledge of programming logic, Linux, and JavaScript (GoogleV8 and d3.js are desirable).
    - Desirable knowledge in observational astrophysics, multivariable control systems and EtherCAT.
