• Resumo Summary

  O projeto “Déficit Inibitório como Marcador da Neuroplasticidade na Reabilitação” conduzido no Instituto de Medicina Física e Reabilitação do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (Imrea/HCFMUSP) permitirá ao aluno de doutorado direto uma melhor compreensão e aprendizado do processo de elaboração e estruturação de uma pesquisa científica e das etapas necessárias para a sua execução.

  Além disso, o aluno aprofundará os conhecimentos sobre pesquisa em reabilitação, incluindo o aprendizado sobre modernas técnicas de estudo neurofisiológico e plasticidade cerebral.

  Outro aspecto de relevância será a oportunidade de aprendizado e orientação com Pesquisador Internacional (Harvard University), com vinda subsidiada via a modalidade FAPESP São Paulo Excellence Chair. Ao longo deste período, o aluno terá a oportunidade de construir o pensamento científico e concretizar a formação como pesquisador.

  Pré-requisitos:

  - O bolsista deve ter potencial como pesquisador;
  - Graduação recém-concluída e no prazo normal, com excelente histórico escolar e, preferencialmente, estágio bem sucedido de iniciação científica;
  - Não ter concluído Mestrado.

  A bolsa pressupõe dedicação exclusiva ao curso e à pesquisa (exceto mediante autorização da FAPESP, nas condições previstas na Portaria PR nº 05/2012).

  O bolsista não pode ter vínculo empregatício nem poderá receber, durante toda a vigência da bolsa, bolsa de outra entidade, salário ou remuneração decorrente do exercício de atividades de qualquer natureza (exceto nas condições previstas na Portaria PR nº 05/2012).

  Estar em dia com a FAPESP (emissão de pareceres e devolução de processo, entrega de Relatório Científico e Prestação de Contas) sob pena de bloqueio na liberação de recursos. Não serão habilitadas para análise as propostas cujo Beneficiário ou Responsável esteja em débito com a FAPESP há mais de 60 (sessenta) dias.

  Sobre o projeto:

  O projeto é baseado em hipóteses especificas e busca identificar biomarcadores neurofisiológicos da recuperação funcional em quatro condições clínicas diferentes, de forma “transdiagnóstica”, sendo elas o Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC), Lesão Medular (LM), amputação e a osteoartrose de joelhos (AO), e comparar com sujeitos normais (pareados para idade e sexo). Para isso, um passo importante é a análise específica para cada uma das doenças. 

  O projeto prevê a coleta de dados clínicos, demográficos, funcionais e neurofisiológicos de 100 pacientes de cada um dos grupos de doenças, além dos 100 sujeitos saudáveis (grupo controle), realizada em um período de quarto anos.

  The project “Inhibitory Deficit as a Marker of Neuroplasticity in Rehabilitation” will provide the doctoral student a better understanding and learning of the process of elaboration and structuring of a scientific research and the necessary steps for its execution. Studies will be conducted at the Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Institute of Hospital das Clínicas (HC), the general and teaching hospital of University of São Paulo’s Medicine School (FM-USP).

  In addition, the student will deepen his/her knowledge regarding rehabilitation research, including learning about modern techniques of neurophysiological study and brain plasticity.

  Another relevant aspect will be the learning opportunity from having an International Researcher (Harvard University) brought in as fellowship supervisor thanks to subsidy from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) via its SPEC funding scheme (São Paulo Excellence Chair). Throughout this period the student will have the opportunity to construct scientific thinking and complete his/her training as a researcher. 

  Requirements:

  - The fellow must have researcher-like potentials;
  - Graduation recently completed and in the normal term, with an excellent academic background and, preferably, a successful scientific initiation stage;
  - Not having completed Master's degree.

  The scholarship presupposes exclusive dedication to the course and research (except with the authorization of FAPESP, under the conditions of ordinance PR #05/2012).

  The scholarship holder can not have an employment relationship and can not receive, during the term of the scholarship, a scholarship from another entity, salary or remuneration from the exercise of activities of any nature (except under the conditions of ordinance PR #05/2012).

  The scholarship holder must be up-to-date with FAPESP documents (issue of opinions and return of process, delivery of Scientific Report and Provision of Accounts) under penalty of having the financial resources blocked. Proposals whose Beneficiary or Officer is in debit with FAPESP for more than 60 (sixty) days will not be qualified for analysis. 

  About the project:

  The project is based on specific hypotheses and seeks to identify via a “transdiagnostic” approach the neurophysiological biomarkers of functional recovery in four different clinical conditions, namely: Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), amputation and knee osteoarthrosis (AO), and then comparing them to healthy subjects (matched for age and sex). For this, an important step is the specific analysis for each of the diseases.

  The project includes the collection of clinical, demographic, functional and neurophysiological data of 100 patients from each of the disease groups, in addition to 100 healthy subjects of the control group, all of which will be carried out in a period of four years.
