  • Resumo Summary

    O Laboratório de Neuroimunologia da Sepse está recrutando um pós-doutorando para desenvolver projeto de pesquisa sobre o papel da perfusão e da oxigenação cerebral na neuroimunomodulação da inflamação sistêmica, com enfoque na dicotomia entre febre e hipotermia.

    Os candidatos devem ter doutorado em Fisiologia ou área afim, bem como experiência com medidas de fluxo sanguíneo, oxigenação tecidual, taxa metabólica e temperatura corporal em ratos ou camundongos não anestesiados. Assume-se que candidatos com essa capacitação terão desenvoltura no uso de interfaces analógica-digitais para coleta e análise de dados. Receberão prioridade os candidatos que também possuírem familiaridade com a área de Imunologia e com técnicas de biologia molecular e celular. Os candidatos deverão ter um histórico acadêmico excelente e uma produção científica comprovada na forma de publicações e apresentações em congressos.

    Os interessados devem entrar em contato com o Prof. Alexandre Steiner por e-mail (asteiner@usp.br), colocando “PostDoc Neuroimunomodulação FAPESP” no assunto da mensagem. Deverão ser anexados à mensagem:

    1) Carta de intenção;
    2) Curriculum vitae;
    3) Carta de recomendação de um mentor/supervisor.

    Serão consideradas inscrições recebidas até 5 de junho de 2020. Início previsto para julho de 2020.

    A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 15% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

    The Neuroimmunology of Sepsis Laboratory at the University of São Paulo’s Biomedical Sciences Institute (ICB-USP) in Brazil is recruiting a Post-doctoral Fellow to work on the role of cerebral perfusion and oxygenation in the neuroimmunomodulation of systemic inflammation, with focus on the dichotomy between fever and hypothermia.

    Candidates must have a PhD in Physiology or related field, as well as experience with measurements of blood flow, tissue oxygenation, metabolic rate and body temperature in whole-animal experiments in rats or mice. Priority will be given to candidates who are also familiar with Immunology and with molecular and cellular biology techniques. Candidates must have an excellent academic record and proven scientific productivity in the form of publications and meeting presentations.

    Applications should be submitted by e-mail to the laboratory head, Prof. Alexandre Steiner (asteiner@usp.br), no later than June 5, 2020. Please state “PostDoc Neuroimmunomodulation FAPESP” in the subject of your message. The following documents are required to apply:

    1) Letter of intent;
    2) Curriculum vitae;
    3) Letter of recommendation from mentor.

    The selected candidate is expected to start working in July 2020.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
