  • Resumo Summary

    O trabalho tem como base filmes finos de nanopartículas de óxidos de metais de transição (níquel, cobre) ou metais nobres (Au, Pt, Pd) sintetizadas com estrutura e/ou faces definidas, encapsuladas em polímeros condutores (polipirrol, polianilina e PEDOT). Espera-se aumento da ciclabilidade dos filmes, comparados com aqueles preparados por rotas sintéticas convencionais, esperando-se assim melhorias significativas nas respostas devido ao emprego de nanoestruturas e estabilidades devido à dopagem com o polímero condutor.

    Dentre as diversas aplicações já conhecidas de oxi-hidrôxidos, destacam-se o uso em sensores de diversas moléculas orgânicas como carboidratos, álcoois, aminoácidos e ureia e para eletrocatálise da decomposição da água e formação de oxigênio. Além disso, baseando-se na experiência do grupo na síntese de hidroesponjas poliméricas, torna-se interessante a possibilidade da junção dos conceitos, produzindo-se as nanopartículas incorporadas em esponjas, que são matérias de estrutura 3D, mas com robustez suficiente para serem preparadas como filmes finos.

    Outra aplicação desejada dos materiais híbridos, especialmente os dopados com nanoparticulas metálicas, é na engenharia de tecidos, avaliando o efeito do uso de corrente elétrica e também de campo eletromagnético na cultura de células neuronais, vasculares, entre outras.

    O candidato a esta bolsa deve ter expertise em técnicas eletroquímicas em geral e de caraterização física (SEM, TEM, especroscopias vibracionais, RX, ICP-OES, etc). É desejável, mas não excludente, apresentar também conhecimentos em técnicas de cultura de células e bioquímica. O selecionado deverá conduzir experimentos de modo independente; auxiliar na orientação de alunos e em atividades do laboratório; e apresentar desenvoltura na redação de relatórios e artigos científicos, em inglês.

    A bolsa tem duração de 12 meses, com possibilidade de prorrogação por mais 12 meses.

    Os interessados devem enviar, até 10/05/17, os seguintes documentos para o e-mail storresi@iq.usp.br:
    a) carta de interesse justificando o interesse na vaga;
    b) curriculum vitae atualizado ou link para o CV Lattes;
    c) Email e telefone de duas (2) pessoas para referências.

    The work is based on the synthesis of transition metal oxides nanoparticles (nickel, copper) or noble metals (Au, Pt, Pd) synthesized with structure and/or defined faces encapsulated in conducting polymers (polypyrrole, polyaniline and PEDOT). The cyclability of the films is expected to increase compared to those prepared by conventional synthetic routes, expecting to obtain significant improvements in the responses due to the use of nanostructures stabilized with conducting polymers.

    Among the various known applications of oxyhydroxides, the recognition and sensing of various organic molecules such as carbohydrates, alcohols, amino acids and urea are desired, and also the electrocatalysis of water decomposition and oxygen formation are noteworthy. In addition, based on the group's experience in the synthesis of polymeric hydrosponges, the possibility of doping with nanoparticles becomes interesting, producing 3D structured materials, with sufficient robustness to be prepared as thin films.

    Another desired application of the hybrid materials, especially those doped with metallic nanoparticles, is in tissue engineering, evaluating the effect of the use of electric current and also of electromagnetic field in the culture of neuronal, vascular cells, among others.

    The candidate for this grant must have expertise in electrochemical techniques and physical characterization (SEM, TEM, vibrational spectroscopies, RX, ICP-OES, etc.). It is desirable, but not excluding, to also present knowledge in cell culture and biochemistry techniques. The selected candidate should conduct experiments independently; assist in guiding students in laboratory activities and to be proficient in writing reports and scientific articles in English.

    The scholarship lasts for 12 months, with the possibility of extension for another 12 months.

    Interested candidates must send, by 10/05/17, the following documents to the e-mail storresi@iq.usp.br:
    A) letter of interest justifying the interest in the scholarship;
    B) updated curriculum vitae or link to the CV Lattes;
    C) E-mail and telephone of two (2) persons for references.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6.819,30 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
