FAPESP announces the fourth call for proposals under its Research Program on eScience and Data Science.

The main goal of the program is to encourage bold, novel, and unconventional approaches to world-class multidisciplinary research and innovation involving joint collaboration of computer scientists and researchers in other fields.

This call is open to researchers associated to higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo and will receive proposals in Digital Human Health – collaborative research conducted by computer scientists and researchers in Life Sciences.

Relevant topics include, but are not restricted to, the following topics:

• Artificial Intelligence applied to big data in human health;
• Data Science for Human Health;
• Precision medicine
• Computational vision and augmented reality in human health;
•- Decision support systems in medicine;
• Health informatics;
• Robotics in human health;
• Telemedicine and eHealth;
• Design and development of sensors for human health applications;
• Data security, privacy, reliability and visualization for human health;
• Bioinformatics, human and medical genetics;
• New digital interfaces for human health information systems, for instance using touch or voice commands;
• Brain-computer interfaces;
• Management, administration and ministration of drugs;
• Integration and interoperability of data and systems in human health distributed environments;
• Human factor engineering, usability and ergonomy of devices and computational systems in medicine and health;
• Patient monitoring systems.

Submissions will be received under the FAPESP’s schemes Regular Research Awards, Thematic Projects, Young Investigator Awards, and Innovative Research in Small Businesses (PIPE).

Proposals must be submitted through SAGe system, before February 10th, 2020.

The total amount of resources for this call is R$ 6 million.
