FAPESP and ANR announce new call for proposals Versão em português

FAPESP and the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) has issued a new call for proposals for research projects involving collaboration between scientists from France and from the State of São Paulo. The call for proposals is launched under the terms of the cooperation agreement signed by ANR and FAPESP. This is the 17th time FAPESP and ANR have launched a joint call for proposals.

Proposals submitted in response to the ANR/FAPESP Generic Call 2021 edition must fit into one or more of four thematic axes: Engineering, Chemistry and Physics; Information and Communication Technologies and Mathematics; Social Sciences and Humanities; and Biological Resources and the Environment.

Pre-registration in the call is required, and must be submitted exclusively by the French researcher partners to ANR, according to ANR procedures, until December 1, 2020. This is also the deadline for São Paulo researchers to request an eligibility analysis by FAPESP.

Proposals deemed eligible by FAPESP and with approved pre-registration in ANR will be invited in March 2021 to submit full proposals. For applicants from the State of São Paulo, collaborative proposals will be carried out at FAPESP as Regular Research Grants (exceptionally, for this call, with up to 48 months of duration) or as Thematic Projects (48 months). For Regular Research Grants, the maximum amount allocated to each proposal will be BRL100,000.00 per year.

The call for proposals is available (in Portuguese) at www.fapesp.br/14651.
