FAPESP announces proposals selected in Belmont Forum call Versão em português

Two São Paulo state researchers will be supported to develop investigations in multidisciplinary international project.

FAPESP discloses the results of the selection process for the Belmont Forum Call “Transdisciplinary Research for Pathways to Sustainability (Pathways)”, launched in 2020. Two proposals by researchers from the state of São Paulo were selected for the call.

This opportunity, under the cooperation agreement with Belmont Forum, involved ten other funding institutions from four continents, together with FAPESP. The Belmont Forum is an international group of organizations, international councils and regional research-promotion consortia that together sponsor research on global change.

This call was for projects encompassing qualitative and quantitative approaches that proposed transformation paths aimed at sustainable development, through investigations based on the Earth System. Projects should include researchers from, at least, three of the countries participating in the call.

The members of the international research group belonging to the state of São Paulo will receive funding from FAPESP through the Regular Research Grants scheme, with the exceptionalities provided for in the call.
