Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts of the Free State of Bavaria

FAPESP and the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts of the Free State of Bavaria (StMWK), Germany, represented by the Bavarian Academic Center for Latin America (BAYLAT), commit themselves to develop their collaboration in the field of scientific research, in accordance with their own programmes and those jointly approved.

Such collaboration will be carried out through the development of projects and activities, which will integrate the scientific co-operation programme under this agreement, as defined by the parties and in conformity with their internal rules. Within this agreement the parties will undertake actions such as: a) Supporting the mobility of researchers and scientists; b) Organizing visits of scientific delegations, scientific seminars, workshops, symposia and other meetings of mutual interest; c) Exchanging information on joint R&D policies and strategies; d) Helping the necessary logistics for the organization of the visits of scientists to and from both States.

Cooperation agreement - Signed on April 11, 2012 and valid for a period of five years.

Second amendment - Signed on January 16, 2020, extending the agreement for five more years from April 11, 2022.

First amendment - Signed on July 19, 2016, extending the agreement for five more years from April 11, 2017.
