Microsoft Research and FAPESP announce result of call for proposals Two research proposals were selected and will explore the application of Computing Science to the challenges of basic research in Global Climate Change and Environmental Sciences (Nasa)

The São Paulo Research Foundation and Microsoft Research announce the result of a public call for research proposals issued in December, 2012 within the scope of the agreement between the institutions. Two research proposals were selected.

The objective of this call for research proposals is to explore the application of Computing Science to the challenges of basic research in areas related to Global Climate Change and other disciplines linked to Environmental Sciences.

The total amount available to support the projects under this call for proposals is US$ 750,000.00, equally shared by FAPESP and Microsoft Research.
