  • Resumo Summary

    O Laboratório de Patogênese Viral da FMRP-USP está selecionando um bolsista de pós-doutorado para o projeto “Análise da expressão gênica em nível de single-cell de tecidos linfoides humanos infectados por vírus respiratórios pandêmicos: SARS-CoV-2 e Influenza”.

    O objetivo é descobrir interações sistemáticas entre vírus e células linfomononucleares humanas e suas respostas antivirais, visando a entender mecanismos gerais de persistência viral.

    Os candidatos devem ter título de doutor obtido nos últimos 2 anos e experiência em:

    - Propagação, purificação, e caracterização de estoques virais;

    - Cultivo celular, de linhagens e culturas primárias obtidas de tecidos humanos, inclusive post mortem, para infecções in vitro e ex vivo;

    - Desenvolvimento e padronização de modelos de infecção experimental em murinos;

    - Preparação de bibliotecas para Sequenciamento de Nova Geração (NGS);

    - Formação sólida nas áreas de biologia celular, biologia molecular e bioquímica.

    Os interessados podem se inscrever enviando carta de apresentação e súmula curricular atualizada para o pesquisador principal (Prof. Dr. Eurico Arruda) pelo e-mail eaneto@fmrp.usp.br.

    O selecionado receberá bolsa mensal no valor de R$7.373,10 por 24 meses e reserva técnica correspondente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa. Os recursos da reserva técnica deverão ser gastos com despesas diretamente ligadas ao projeto de pesquisa.

    The Viral Pathogenesis Laboratory, at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo, in Brazil, is selecting a post-doctoral fellow for the project “Analysis of gene expression at the single-cell level in human lymphoid tissues infected with pandemic respiratory viruses: SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza”.

    The aim of the project is to discover systematic interactions between and human lympho-mononuclear cells, and their antiviral responses, aiming to understand general mechanisms of viral persistence.

    Candidates must have a PhD degree obtained in the last 2 years and experience in the following areas:

    - Propagation, purification, and characterization of viral stocks;

    - Cell culture, immortalized cell lines and primary cultures obtained from human tissues, including post mortem tissues, for in vitro and ex vivo infections;

    - Development and standardization of murine experimental infection models;

    - Preparation of libraries for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS);

    - Solid background in the areas of cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry.

    Interested applicants can enroll by sending a cover letter and updated CV to Prof. Dr. Eurico Arruda by the email address eaneto@fmrp.usp.br.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
