  • Resumo Summary

    O laboratório de pesquisa em fisioterapia cardiovascular do Departamento de Fisioterapia da Universidade Federal de São Carlos seleciona pesquisadores para desenvolver estudo sobre avaliação de variáveis cardiorrespiratórias em mulheres com síndrome fibromiálgica.

    A pesquisa será desenvolvida sob orientação da Profa. Dra. Ester da Silva e integra o Projeto Temático FAPESP (processo #2011/22122-5) "Estudo das adaptações biomecânicas, sensoriais, cardiorrespiratórias e da qualidade de vida associadas à intervenção fisioterapêutica na síndrome fibromiálgica", coordenado pela Profa. Dra. Tânia de Fatima Salvini.

    O objetivo desse estudo é avaliar o barorreflexo cardíaco e simpático em mulheres com síndrome fibromiálgica.

    Espera-se que o bolsista, além de realizar as pesquisas previstas neste projeto, também auxilie o grupo na formação de recursos humanos por meio de co-orientações de pós-graduação. O aluno deverá se dedicar exclusivamente às atividades do projeto.

    Requisitos do candidato
    O aluno deve ter doutorado (adquirido nos últimos 5 anos) na área de Fisioterapia Cardiorrespiratória; domínio da língua Inglesa; experiência comprovada com a técnica de microneurografia, avaliação do controle autonômico cardiovascular, avaliação da sensibilidade barorreflexa simpática e cardíaca; experiência na área de fibromialgia.

    Os candidatos interessados devem entrar em contato com a Profa. Dra. Ester da Silva (esters@ufscar.br) anexando:

    a) Uma carta de apresentação e interesse;
    b) Curriculum vitae incluindo lista de publicações (em arquivo, não link);

    A postdoctoral position is available in the Laboratory of Research in Cardiovascular Physical Therapy, at the Department of Physical Therapy - Federal University of São Carlos.

    This study will be developed under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ester da Silva, and is part of the thematic project "Study of biomechanical adaptations, sensory, cardiorespiratory and quality of life associated with physiotherapy intervention in fibromyalgia syndrome" (FAPESP, process # 2011 / 22122-5 – Principal Investigator: Prof. Dr. Tania Fatima Salvini).

    The aim of this study is to evaluate the cardiac and the sympathetic baroreflex in women with fibromyalgia syndrome.

    It is expected that the grantee, in addition to conducting research under this project, also assists in the training of human resources through mentoring graduate students. He/She is expected to work full time on the project activities.

    The candidate must have a PhD (finished within the last 5 years) in Physical Therapy, preferably in the area of Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy; fluency in the English language; proven experience with microneurography, assessment of the cardiovascular autonomic control, assessment of the sympathetic baroreflex sensitivity and cardiac baroreflex sensitivity; experience with research on fibromyalgia syndrome.

    Interested applicants should contact Prof. Dr. Ester da Silva (esters@ufscar.br) attaching:

    a) A cover letter describing your interest in the vacancy;
    b) Curriculum vitae including a list of publications;
