  O Laboratório de Neurofarmacologia Molecular do Departamento de Farmacologia da Escola Paulista de Medicina (EPM) da Universidade Federal de São Paulo (Unifesp) tem uma (01) bolsa de pós-doutorado aberta para desenvolver o projeto “Estudo dos mecanismos moleculares e celulares em transtornos mentais: estudos clínicos e modelos animais”. O prazo de inscrição termina em 20 de agosto de 2022.

  O projeto será supervisionado pelos professores Dra. Mirian Hayashi e/ou Dr. Fábio Cardoso Cruz, e tem como objetivo identificar e caracterizar as alterações bioquímicas/moleculares e/ou celulares para auxiliar na precisão do diagnóstico, e também no melhor entendimento da neurobiologia envolvida nos transtornos mentais, possibilitando assim a possível identificação de potenciais novos alvos para o desenvolvimento de fármacos inovadores, que possibilitem o tratamento mais efetivo dos sintomas, ou até mesmo a sua cura e/ou possível prevenção.

  O(A) candidato(a) selecionado(a) deverá ter doutorado com resultados relevantes em seu currículo e com experiência em técnicas ou áreas correlatas.   A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 8.479,20 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  The primary goal of the Laboratory of Molecular Neuropharmacology (Neurodevelopmental and Neurodegenerative Disorders Section) from the Medical School of the Federal University of São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP), Brazil, is the identification of biomarkers for supporting the early diagnosis of mental disorders, with focus on the studies of oligopeptidases and/or neuropeptidases. We are also interested on understanding the molecular mechanism(s)/pathway(s) underlying the etiology and pathophysiology of mental disorders aiming to discover new targets for the development of innovative drugs and/or more effective treatments.

  This group invites talented and highly gifted candidates to apply for a Post-Doctoral training interested in identifying and characterizing biomarkers by employing clinical samples and validated animal models in comparative studies. Applicants with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Neuroscience or any related field are desired. Experience in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, and animal models for mental disorders studies is required.

  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 8,479.20 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
