Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Few-Body Nuclear Physics

  Estão abertas as inscrições para candidatos a uma Bolsa FAPESP de Pós-Doutorado vinculada ao Projeto Temático “Colaboração França-Brasil sobre o comportamento universal de sistemas nucleares exóticos”. A bolsa, no valor mensal de R$ 12.570,00, tem duração de até 48 meses (saiba mais em: https://fapesp.br/bolsas/pd).

  Buscamos candidatos interessados em pesquisar a dinâmica de sistemas de poucos corpos próximos ao limite de unitariedade/Efimov, combinando métodos analíticos e semi-analíticos para o estudo de reações de quebra de núcleos halo. A pesquisa será desenvolvida sob supervisão do Prof. Marcelo Takeshi Yamashita, no Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT) da Unesp, em colaboração com o grupo de Física do Instituto de Tecnologia Aeronáutica (ITA) e com as seguintes instituições francesas: Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien, Université Paris-Saclay, Laboratoire de physique des 2 infinis – Irène Joliot-Curie, Institut de Physique de Nice e Université Côte d’Azur.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. A Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP inclui Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  Applications are now open for a post-doctoral fellowship associated with the Thematic Project “France–Brazil Collaboration on Universal Behavior of Exotic Nuclear Systems”. The fellowship, funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), provides a monthly stipend of BRL 12,570.00 (Brazilian reais) and can be awarded for up to 48 months (see: https://fapesp.br/en/postdoc).

  We seek candidates interested in investigating the dynamics of few-body systems near the unitarity/Efimov limit, combining analytical and semi-analytical methods to study breakup reactions of halo nuclei. The research will be conducted in Brazil under the supervision of Prof. Marcelo Takeshi Yamashita at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, São Paulo State University (IFT-UNESP), in collaboration with the Physics group at the Aeronautical Technology Institute (ITA) and with the following French institutions: Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien (Université Paris-Saclay); Laboratoire de Physique des 2 Infinis – Irène Joliot-Curie; Institut de Physique de Nice; and Université Côte d’Azur.
