  Anunciamos a abertura de vaga de Pós-Doutorado para candidatos brasileiros e estrangeiros.

  A necessidade de um(a) bolsista de Pós-Doutorado ao Projeto Temático fundamenta-se no fato de que há pouca pesquisa no sentido de compreender o que pensam os jovens sobre diversidade e evolução biológica nas diferentes regiões brasileiras, ao mesmo tempo em que se nota evidente carência de materiais didáticos de apoio ao ensino da biodiversidade brasileira na educação básica. O Projeto Temático preparou materiais didáticos com o auxílio de muitos pesquisadores vinculados ao Programa FAPESP de Pesquisas em Caracterização, Conservação, Restauração e Uso Sustentável da Biodiversidade (BIOTA-FAPESP) e está em vias de disponibilizá-los aos estudantes da educação básica.

  Candidatas(os) devem ter formação de graduação na área biológica, com doutorado nessa área ou em educação, comprovada experiência em tecnologias da informação e familiaridade com sistemas de gerenciamento de conteúdo, em especial Wordpress. Espera-se que possam redigir um texto original sobre educação para a biodiversidade baseado em algumas referências bibliográficas que balizam o Projeto Temático, na forma de carta de apresentação (no máximo 3.000 palavras).

  Após a primeira seleção, haverá entrevista, quando serão fornecidos elementos adicionais para redação de um plano de ação, a ser remetido por via remota. A seleção será completada após a avaliação desse plano.

  O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 8.479,20 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  We announce the opening of a post-doctoral vacancy to join the Thematic Project titled “The BIOTA-FAPESP program in basic education: possibilities for curricular integration” which will be developed at the School of Education of the University of São Paulo (FE-USP) in Brazil.

  The need for a post-doctoral fellow is based on the fact that there is little research to understand what young people think about diversity and biological evolution in different Brazilian regions, while there is an evident lack of materials didactics to support the teaching of Brazilian biodiversity in basic education. The Thematic Project produced teaching materials with the help of several researchers linked to BIOTA-FAPESP – the Research Program maintained by FAPESP, the São Paulo Research Foundation, for Biodiversity Characterization, Conservation, Restoration and Sustainable Use – and is in the process of being made available to basic education students.

  Candidates must have a degree in biology, a Ph.D. in the same area or in the educational area, proven experience in information technologies, and familiarity with content management systems, especially Wordpress. It is expected that they will be able to write an original text on education for biodiversity based on some bibliographic references that guide the Thematic Project, in the form of a cover letter (max. 3,000 words).

  After the first selection, there will be an interview, when additional elements will be provided for the elaboration of an action plan, to be sent remotely. The selection will be completed after the evaluation of this plan.

  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 8,479.20 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
