• Resumo Summary

  O Instituto Biológico está selecionando candidatos a bolsa de Pós Doutorado para atuar em projeto sobre o emprego de linhagens de Bacillus thuringiensis para o controle de Diaphorina citri, vetor do Huanglongbing (Greening) dos citros. O objetivo específico é desenvolver ferramentas que possam auxiliar na mitigação do HLB pela melhoria do controle do inseto vetor pelo uso de toxinas Cry/ Cyt de Bt. Este projeto está vinculado ao Plano de Desenvolvimento Institucional de Pesquisa (PDIP) do Instituto Biológico, apoiado pela FAPESP.

  A bolsa se encerrará junto com o encerramento do PDIP, que ocorrerá em 31/08/2022. O valor mensal da bolsa é de R$ 7.373,10, com Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  É pré-requisito que o candidato tenha doutorado defendido há menos de 7 anos com destacado desempenho em áreas correlatas à fitopatologia, entomologia agrícola e biologia molecular.

  One post-doctoral position is open to work on a project on the use of strains of Bacillus thuringiensis for the control of Diaphorina citri, vector of Huanglongbing (Greening) of citrus, at the Biological Institute, a state-run institute affiliated with the State Department of Agriculture and Supply of São Paulo, Brazil. The specific objective is to develop tools that can assist in the mitigation of HLB by improving the control of the insect vector through the use of Cry/Cyt toxins from Bt.

  This project is linked to the Institutional Research Development Plan (PDIP) of Biological Institute, supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). The scholarship will end together with the closing of the PDIP, which will take place on August 31st, 2022.

  The monthly amount of the scholarship is R$ 7,373.10, with a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual scholarship amount to cover unforeseen expenses and directly related to the research activity.

  It is a prerequisite that the candidate has a PhD defended for less than 7 years with outstanding performance in areas related to phytopathology, agricultural entomology and molecular biology.
