Summary
O projeto visa buscar e compreender genes que conferem resistência ou susceptibilidade à síndrome congênita do ZIKV, utilizando tanto amostras de mulheres que tiveram bebês afetados como em modelos experimentais. Serão realizados screenings por sequenciamento, além de experimentos de validação in vivo em modelo murino. É necessária forte experiência em Imunologia e Biologia Molecular. Expertise em bioinformática é preferida mas não requisito. Precisamos de um pós-doc autônomo e pró-ativo que queira ser líder.
A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.
The project is designed to search and understand genes that provide resistance or susceptibility to ZIKV congenital syndrome, using samples from women who had affected babies as well as experimental models. Screenings will be performed by sequencing, as well as in vivo experiments in murine model. Strong experience in Immunology and Molecular Biology is required. Expertise in bioinformatics is preferred but not required. We need an autonomous and proactive post-doc who wants to be a team leader. The fellow will be based in the Biomedical Sciences Institute of the University of São Paulo (ICB-USP), Brazil.
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
