Resumo
Summary
a) Curriculum Vitae;
b) Uma carta de apresentação e explicando as razões do interesse no projeto;
The Obesity and Comorbidities Research Center (OCRC-IB/UNICAMP) offers a postdoctoral fellowship to work in the identification and characterization of proteins associated with the molecular control of mitochondrial biogenesis through the functional interactome analysis of the co-repressor NCoR1.
Activities
The selected candidate will be involved in the identification of NCoR1 interaction partners through co-immunoprecipitation and mass spectrometry experiments; investigation of NCoR1 role in mitochondrial biogenesis during muscle cell differentiation; investigation of NCoR1 role in the redox homeostasis in muscle cells; identification of novel transcription factors (TFs) that control biogenesis and mitochondrial function through the selection of interactome target candidates using biological reporters; and investigation of the NCoR1/TF interface as a potential therapeutic target using in vitro models of insulin resistance.
Requirements
Applicants should be familiar with molecular biology techniques including co-immunoprecipitation, proteomics, transcriptomics, chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), cloning, and, importantly, mitochondrial bioenergetic assays.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should contact Prof. Leonardo dos Reis Silveira at lapemib@unicamp.br announcing that would like to participate in the selection process and include the following documentation:
a) Curriculum Vitae;
b) A cover letter explaining the reasons for the interest in the project;
c) Two letters of recommendation from principal investigators in the area in which the candidate have already worked with;Selection criteria: a) Analysis of the curriculum directed to the execution of the research project; b) Interview (personally or via Skype).
