Post-doctoral Fellowship in Organic Chemistry

• Resumo Summary

  O Centro de Excelência para Pesquisa em Química Sustentável (CERSusChem), apoiado por FAPESP e GSK, oferece oportunidade de pós-doutoramento vinculado ao projeto de pesquisa intitulado "Modelos de triagem rápida de ligantes em extratos de produtos naturais para ensaios de bioconjugação e LC-HRMS", cujo objetivo é o desenvolvimento de estratégias que integrem modelos de triagem, separação e caracterização on-flow de ligantes enzimáticos em coleções de produtos naturais.

  Os candidatos devem ter experiência em cromatografia -- com habilidades em cromatografia multidimensional (LCxLC e LC-LC) e cromatografia acoplada à espectrometria de massas de alta resolução (LC-HRMS) --, imobilização de enzimas, cinética enzimática e, de preferência caracterização estrutural de produtos naturais. O projeto será desenvolvido, no SEPARARE – Núcleo de Pesquisa em Cromatografia do Departamento de Química da UFSCar.

  O selecionado deverá conduzir experimentos de modo independente, auxiliar na orientação de alunos e em atividades do laboratório e apresentar desenvoltura na redação de relatórios e artigos científicos em inglês.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros altamente qualificados. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP (no valor de R$ 7.174,80 mensais) e Reserva Técnica. A Reserva Técnica de Bolsa de PD equivale a 15% do valor anual da bolsa e tem por objetivo atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  The Centre of Excellence for Research in Sustainable Chemistry (CERSusChem), supported by the Sao Paulo Research Foundation -- FAPESP and GSK, have an opportunity for a post-doctoral fellowship linked to the project "Rapid ligand screening models in natural products through ligand fishing assays and LC-HRMS", which aims integrating the development of new strategies for ligands screening in natural products with chromatography separation and on-flow ligands characterization.

  In this context, candidates must have experience in multidimensional chromatography (LCxLC and LC-LC) and the coupling to a high-resolution mass spectrometer (LC-HRMS), enzyme immobilization and kinetics studies. On-flow structural characterization of natural products will be considered as a plus. The project will be developed at SEPARARE, the Cromatography Research Center, located in Chemistry Department, Federal University of São Carlos, Sao Paulo State, Brazli.

  The selected candidate should carry out the experiments in an independent manner, be motivated, interact well with the group students and collaborate on the activities of the laboratory.  He/she must master the English idiom and be able to produce written reports and scientific papers. The fellowship is of 12 months.

  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7.174,80 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
