Resumo
Summary
- Propagação, purificação, e caracterização de estoques virais;
- Cultivo celular, de linhagens e culturas primárias obtidas de tecidos humanos, inclusive post mortem, para infecções in vitro e ex vivo;
- Desenvolvimento e padronização de modelos de infecção experimental em murinos;
- Preparação de bibliotecas para Sequenciamento de Nova Geração (NGS);
The Viral Pathogenesis Laboratory, at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo, in Brazil, is selecting a post-doctoral fellow for the project “Analysis of gene expression at the single-cell level in human lymphoid tissues infected with pandemic respiratory viruses: SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza”.
The aim of the project is to discover systematic interactions between and human lympho-mononuclear cells, and their antiviral responses, aiming to understand general mechanisms of viral persistence.
Candidates must have a PhD degree obtained in the last 2 years and experience in the following areas:
- Propagation, purification, and characterization of viral stocks;
- Cell culture, immortalized cell lines and primary cultures obtained from human tissues, including post mortem tissues, for in vitro and ex vivo infections;
- Development and standardization of murine experimental infection models;
- Preparation of libraries for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS);
- Solid background in the areas of cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry.
Interested applicants can enroll by sending a cover letter and updated CV to Prof. Dr. Eurico Arruda by the email address eaneto@fmrp.usp.br.
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
