  • Resumo Summary

    O Centro de Ciência para o Desenvolvimento em Xenotransplante, coordenado pelo professor Dr. Silvano Raia, anuncia a abertura de 2 (duas) vagas para bolsistas de pós-doutorado junto ao projeto “Córneas de suínos geneticamente modificados para transplante em humanos”.

    Os candidatos devem possuir experiência comprovada em biologia celular e molecular aplicadas à oftalmologia. Os selecionados serão responsáveis pelas avaliações das propriedades ópticas, histológicas e biomecânicas de córneas de suínos geneticamente modificados, assim como a resposta imune in vitro e in vivo às córneas. As atividades serão supervisionadas pelos professores Dr. Rubens Belfort Junior e Dr. José Álvaro Gomes.

    - Certificado de conclusão do doutorado.

    A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 9.047,40 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

    Two post-doctoral positions are available within the scope of the Science for Development Center (CCD) in Xenotransplantation, one of the CCDs supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in São Paulo state, Brazil, with coordination by Professor Dr. Silvano Raia. The selected researchers will work under the project “Genetically engineered porcine corneas for human transplantation” at the Heart Institute (InCor) of Hospital das Clínicas (HC), the hospital complex run by the University of São Paulo's Medical School (FM-USP).

    Applicants must have proven experience in cellular and molecular biology applied to ophthalmology. The successful applicants will be responsible for evaluating the optical, histological, and biomechanical properties of corneas from genetically engineered pigs, as well as the in vitro and in vivo immune response to corneas. The activities will be supervised by Professors Dr. Rubens Belfort Junior and Dr. José Álvaro Gomes.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
