Resumo
Summary
One of the objectives of the project “Modeling monogenic diseases for pathophysiological studies and pharmacological tests using specialized cells derived from iPSCs” is to develop cardiomyocytes derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) for modeling Fabry Disease. Understanding the role of the kallikrein-kinin system in cardiac pathophysiology and identifying new drugs to treat the disease will be the main objective. The project is hosted by the Federal University of São Paulo's Medical School (EPM-UNIFESP) in São Paulo city, Brazil.
Necessary requirements: experience with cell culture, molecular biology analyses (qPCR, Western Blotting, and transcriptome performance and analysis), enzyme activity experiments and scientific writing. Experience in the kallikrein-kinin system and metabolism will be considered an asset.
The vacancy is open to Brazilians and foreigners. Candidates will be evaluated through the documentation sent (letter of interest, 3 reference letters, curriculum summary in the model established by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) containing a link to Currículo Lattes, ORCID, ResearcherID or Google Scholar), and by interview via videoconference. The selected candidate will receive, for 12 months, a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Scholarship in the amount of R$ 9,047.40 monthly and a Research Contingency Fund equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
