The University of Illinois at the Discovery Partners Institute, in Chicago, will host FAPESP Week Illinois 2024.

FAPESP Week has the objective of creating new opportunities for scientific and technological cooperation between researchers from the State of São Paulo and the U.S. Midwest.

A joint committee of faculty from São Paulo institutions and the University of Illinois has developed the program for FAPESP Week. The event will bring together researchers in health and medicine, sustainable cities, smart agriculture, climate, bioenergy, and investments from democratic institutions.

The objective will be to catalyze new multidisciplinary research collaboratons to address the main challenges in these areas. Participants will come from institutions in São Paulo, universities in Illinois, the Great Lakes region, as well as partner institutions in Canada and Mexico.
