FAPESP and NWO Agreement: Second Amendment Versão em português
Second Amendment to the Agreement for Scientific and Technological Research Cooperation between São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO)
The SAO PAULO RESEARCH FOUNDATION (FAPESP) and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO), both hereinafter referred to as "Signatories”:
CONSIDERING the importance of promoting cooperation in scientific and technological research between The Netherlands and the State of São Paulo, Brazil, wishing to strengthen this cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual benefit;
CONSIDERING the need to strengthen the links between the scientific communities of both countries and also to encourage new forms of collaboration between their research centers;
IT IS HEREBY DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:
1. In accordance with paragraph 7 of the original Agreement, the Signatories decide to extend the duration of the Agreement for an additional five (5) years from when the First Amendment is due to expire and, therefore, the Agreement will now terminate on 20 November 2027;
2. All other terms of the Agreement remain unchanged and in effect.
Declared their intentions, the Signatories sign this Amendment in two (2) originals, in English and Portuguese versions, all texts having equal validity. In case of divergence in interpretation, the English text will prevail.
