Diogo Rosenthal Coutinho

Professor of Economic Law and Political Economy at the Law School of University of São Paulo (USP), where he is also the lead researcher of the Public Law and Policies Group (https://politicaspublicas.direito.usp.br/).

He holds a Master's in Science (MSc) in Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and earned his PhD in Law from USP, where he also completed his postdoctoral studies in economic law.

He was a visiting professor at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies (CTLS), a researcher at Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (Cebrap), Institute for Global Law and Politics (IGLP) of Harvard University, the Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea), the São Paulo Law School of FGV, the Brazilian Society of Public Law (SBDP), and the Innovation and Competitiveness Observatory of USP (OIC-USP).

He was a sabbatical professor at the Institute of Advanced Studies of USP (IEA). He is the founder and a member of the executive committee of REED - Network of Empirical Studies in Law and a member of the Academic Advisory Group for the Global Center of Legal Innovation on Food Environments at the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law (Georgetown Law Center).

Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Center for Studies and Research in Health Law (Cepedisa) and co-chair of the International Activities Committee (IAC) of the Law and Society Association (LSA) and a member of the Board of Directors of IDEC (Brazilian Institute of Consumer Defense).
