Claudia Regina Furquim de Andrade

Speech-Language Pathologist, graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP) in 1979. Specialized in Public Health at Hospital das Clínicas (HC)/FUNDAP (1982). Completed her Master's and Ph.D. in Semiotics and General Linguistics at the University of São Paulo (USP) (1991 and 1995).

Completed postdoctoral training at Northwestern University (1996-1998). Achieved Habilitation at Faculdade de Medicina (FMUSP (1999). She has been a Full Professor of Speech-Language Pathology in the Department of Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Occupational Therapy at FMUSP since 2001.

She has extensive experience as a coordinator of specialization courses, professional development, and residencies at HCFMUSP. She is a level IA productivity fellow of CNPQ. She serves as an area editor and AdHoc advisor for national and international journals in Speech-Language Pathology and other health-related fields.

She is the coordinator of the Research Center for Speech and Language Assessment in Children with Communication Disorders (SLCD) - Office of the Vice Provost for Research at USP. She is the Director of the Division of Speech-Language Pathology at the Central Institute of HCFMUSP. She is the Head of the Medical Investigation Laboratory in Rehabilitation Sciences at HCFMUSP (LIM 34).

Her areas of expertise and research include Child Development, Fluency, Facial Functions, and Dysphagia.
