FAPESP issue call for proposals with the State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts of Bavaria Institutions will support the exchange of researchers between the State of São Paulo and Germany (STMWFK)

As part of their agreement on scientific collaboration, FAPESP and the State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts of the Free State of Bavaria (StMWFK), in Germany, represented by the Bavarian University Centre for Latin America (BAYLAT), are jointly issuing a public call for proposals for the exchange of researchers.

Researchers affiliated with public or private institutions of higher education or research in the State of São Paulo are eligible if they have an ongoing project funded by one of the following FAPESP grant mechanisms: Regular Research Grants, Thematic Project Grants, the Young Researchers at Emerging Centers Program, or the Centers for Research, Innovation, and Dissemination (CEPID).

Principal investigators of Bavarian universities that have an established cooperation with a higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo can participate on the Bavarian side.

The call for proposals is open to researchers in all fields of knowledge. The duration of the projects for the exchange of researchers may be as long as 24 months..

FAPESP will award each successful applicant the equivalent of up to 5,000 euros per year to cover travel (air tickets), health insurance and living allowances for researchers from the State of São Paulo visiting their collaborators in Bavaria.

BAYLAT will award each successful applicant from Bavaria the equivalent of up to 5,000 euros per year to cover travel (air tickets), health insurance and living allowances for researchers visiting their collaborators in the State of São Paulo.

The deadline for applications is October 17, 2012.
