FAPESP and University of Michigan issue call for proposals Versão em português

FAPESP and University of Michigan issue call for proposals Institutions signed an agreement to promote cooperation in academic and scientific activities. The maximum duration of each selected project is 24 months (Umich)

Directors from The São Paulo Research Foundation, FAPESP, and the University of Michigan, USA, signed on September 25, 2012, a Scientific Cooperation Agreement to promote cooperation in academic and scientific activities between the institutions.

FAPESP and University of Michigan also issue a Call for Proposals for the support of research projects involving the exchange of researchers under the agreement.

The Call is open to interested researchers affiliated with the University of Michigan and researchers affiliated with Higher Education and Research Institutions in the State of São Paulo, who are, in addition, Principal Investigators of ongoing research projects funded by FAPESP within the following support lines: Regular Research Awards, Thematic Projects, Young Investigators, or Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPIDs/RIDCs).

The following fields of knowledge are included in the Call: Medicine, Health Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts, Natural Resources and the Environment.

FAPESP will provide funding of up to US$10,000 per proposal and per year and the University of Michigan will provide funding of up to US$10,000 per proposal and per year, for the period established in the award, to cover reasonable research-related expenses including mobility expenses

The maximum duration of each project is 24 months. The proposals will be received until February 15, 2013.
