Marine algae from biodiversity to biotechnology Versão em português

Recently the CNRS (France) approved an initiative forming an international research network between researchers from France, Brazil and Chile to study diversity, evolution and biotechnology of algae.

Brazilian researchers participating in this network are also part of the Biota-FAPESP and in view of the efforts of the program to integrate and deliver data on biodiversity, human resources training, and encourage internationalization initiatives of research groups that are part of the BIOTA-FAPESP , we propose the realization of the first workshop of this collaboration network in São Paulo.

The workshop will be organized in four areas:

1) Biodiversity and environmental impact;
2) Life histories and microevolution;
3) Interactions and adaptation;
4) Biotechnology.
