FAPESP and NIH/FIC announce result of call for proposals A collaborative research project between scientists from the Universidade de São Paulo and Harvard University will be funded (photo:FAPESP)

The State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the John E. Fogarty International Center (FIC) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), United States, release the result of the first joint call for proposals between the institutions.

FAPESP and NIH/FIC will fund a collaborative research project between scientists from the Universidade de São Paulo and Harvard University.

The result of the call for proposals was announced during the talk “Genomics, Advanced Technology, and the Future of Medicine” by Francis S. Collins, NIH Director, realized at FAPESP’s auditorium on May 22nd.

NIH/FIC will assume the funding of researchers from the United States and FAPESP will assume the funding of the research teams from São Paulo State.
