The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), announce a new call for joint research projects, the third under the cooperation agreement between the institutions.

The aim is to promote and strengthen collaboration between researchers affiliated with UT Austin and researches affiliated with Higher Education and Research Institutions in State of São Paulo in the field.

Proposals will be accepted in all fields of knowledge. The UT Austin is prepared to fund the projects with a total of up to USD 30,000 per project/per year. FAPESP is also prepared to fund for the equivalent amount of up to USD 30,000 per project/per year.

The application shall include a joint research plan written by applicants from UT Austin and from the State of São Paulo.

For the applicant researcher in the State of São Paulo, the collaborative proposal must be submitted to FAPESP as a Regular Research Award. The maximum project duration is 24 months, non-extendable.

The closing date for submission of proposals is February 12, 2016.
