Result announced for second stage of a call issued with UK Research Council FAPESP and BBSRC will support six collaborative proposals in anti-microbial resistance and insect pest resistance in livestock and agriculture for a period of two years (image: BBSRC)

FAPESP and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), announce the result for the second stage of the BBSRC-FAPESP Anti-Microbial Resistance – AMR and Insect Pest Resistance in Livestock and Agriculture call for proposals, with support from the Newton Fund.

In the first stage, the opportunity selected ten collaborative projects between researchers based in São Paulo State and in the United Kingdom to receive up to 12 months of funding, aimed at the development of long-term partnerships.

The call for proposals now announces the selection of six full proposals. They will be funded for two years in order to elaborate scientific research focused in the combat of Anti-Microbial Resistance – AMR and Insect Pest Resistance and framed in the scope of Brazilian agroecosystem.
