Larissa Cristina Berti

Associate Professor and researcher at the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences of the São Paulo State University (UNESP), campus of Marília, since 2009, and in the Graduate programs of Linguistic Studies – UNESP/IBILCE/SJRP (since 2007) and Health Science and Human Communication – UNESP/FFC/Marília (since 2013).

She has a PhD. in Linguistics from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2006), and a post-doctoral in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) at the University of Toronto (2014/2015). She has been a FAPESP Young Investigator scholarship holder (2007-2009) and received a FAPESP Young Investigator research grant (2007-20011) and currently holds a research productivity fellowship (level 1D) from the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). She was the chief editor of CoDAS Journal (from 2018 to 2020). Currently, she is vice-coordinator of the Graduate program Health Science and Human Communication – UNESP/FFC/Marília (since 2020).

She is a member of the research group “Studies about Language” (UNESP/CNPq). She is a researcher of the working group (GT) “Phonetics and Phonology” of the National Association for Graduate Studies and Research in Languages, Literature, and Linguistics (ANPOLL), and a member of the Department of Speech at the Brazilian Speech-Language and Hearing Society.

Her publications include papers in journals, book chapters on the topics of speech production, speech perception, phonological disorder, ultrasound analysis, and more recently, acoustic analysis of speech and voice to identify biomarkers of respiratory insufficiency.
