Public Education Research Program

Public Education - Modalities

Two modalities of grants will be given out. One modality addresses the problems and needs that come up from the school reality and the other one will support the proposals that are part of FAPESP's research projects currently underway.

Under this program, grants concerning the continuing education of teachers (courses, seminars, workshops) won?t be conceded and neither will be grants given to the production of educational material, unless when perfectly characterized as a research activity. FAPESP will also not fund consulting activities as it understands that the tasks that normally go to consultants should carried out by researchers who are integrated to the research teams.

FAPESP may award grants to teachers of schools that directly participate in the project. The value of the grants will be determined considering the qualifications of the grantees, the nature of the activities thought out for them and the number of weekly hours to be dedicated to the project.

Scientific Initiation Grants, Technical Training, Master Degrees, Doctorate and Post Doctorate in Brazil may be conceded for under-graduate and graduate students and other researchers with activities related to the project. The applications will have to be done outside the project under the regular programs of FAPESP in agreementance with their rules.
