The memorandum of understanding between FAPESP and the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) - former Research Councils UK (RCUK) - aims to support the development of joint research projects submitted by associated Brazilian and British researchers.
Information regarding the MoU can also be found at UKRI’s website.
The MoU stipulates that costs to be incurred by applicants based in the UK and costs to be incurred in the State of São Paulo, Brazil must be compatible with existing financial practices pertinent to the UK Research and Innovation and to FAPESP.
Memorandum of understanding - signed on September 15, 2009.
- First Amendment - signed on September 26, 2012, with validity until December 31, 2015.
- Second Amendment - signed on December 14, 2015, with validity until December 31, 2020.
- Third Amendment - signed on December 14, 2018.
- Fourth Amendment - signed on December 14, 2020, with validity until December 31, 2025
