Associate Professor in Parasitology (2008) and Full Professor in Parasitology (2017) by the Institute of Biosciences, UNESP, Botucatu.

Biologist at the Center for the Study of Venoms and Venomous Animals (CEVAP) of UNESP from 1995 to 2001. Professor at the Department of Parasitology, Institute of Biosciences, UNESP, Botucatu, since 2001 up to the present. CNPq Researcher since 2010, currently at 1D level.

Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Biological Sciences (Zoology), Institute of Biosciences, UNESP, Botucatu, from 2012 to 2017. Currently Professor and Advisor of this Postgraduate Program.

Coordinator of the Research Group on Parasitology of Wild Animals of CNPQ since 2001. Coordinator of the Laboratory of Parasitology of Wild Animals (LAPAS) in the Department of Parasitology of the Institute of Biosciences, UNESP, Botucatu. Expertise in Parasitology, with emphasis on Animal Helminthology, parasite biodiversity, and taxonomy.

Vice-President of the Asociación Peruana de Helmintología e Invertebrados Afines (APHIA), Peru, 2012-2014. Associate Editor of the journal Neotropical Helminthology. Member of the American Society of Parasitologists and Helminthological Society of Washington.

Coordinator of several research projects funded by FAPESP, CAPES, and CNPq, highlighting the Thematic Project entitled "Improved quality of fish culture for human consumption" (FAPESP-DCSR), in partnership with the University of Copenhagen (2014-2018).
