FAPESP and M-ERA.NET announce a new call for proposals under the cooperation agreement signed by the institutions.

M-ERA.Net is an EU funded network which has been established to support and increase the coordination of European research and innovation programs in Materials Science and Engineering.

The objective of the M-ERA.NET Call 2019 is to fund ambitious transnational projects addressing materials research and innovation, including materials for low carbon energy technologies and related production technologies.

The call will support the following topics: “Modeling for materials engineering and processing”, “Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces”, “High performance composites”, “Functional materials”, “New strategies for advanced material-based technologies in health applications”, and “Materials for additive manufacturing”.

Proposals to FAPESP must be submitted either as a Regular Research Award or as an Innovative Research in Small Business (PIPE – phase II) scheme, including those relating to the eligibility of applicants. Exceptions are detailed in the call’s text.

As June 16, 2019 is the deadline for submitting pre-proposals to the Consortium M-ERA.NET, eligibility consultation received by FAPESP after May 29 may not be answered in a timely manner.

Every proposal must have a principal investigator from the State of São Paulo and include at least three researchers from at least two different countries participants in the call.
