Researchers linked to higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo can participate in the joint call for proposals launched by FAPESP with the Czech Science Foundation (GACR), of the Czech Republic. That is the second call under the cooperation agreement signed between FAPESP and GACR.

The call is open to proposals for research collaboration with investigators from Czech Republic and the State of São Paulo (Brazil) in any scientific domain, as long as it covers basic scientific research. Researchers have until April 7, 2020 to submit project proposals.

Each proposal must have a principal investigator in the State of São Paulo and one principal investigator in the Czech Republic. Researchers in the State of São Paulo must meet the FAPESP eligibility requirements for the Regular Research Awards.

GACR has an available budget for this call and FAPESP will match this funding up to the limit of R$ 100,000.00 per project, per year, for projects of up to 36 months, in terms of research efforts.

It is expected that applications will be for a balanced partnership, not specifically in monetary terms but with equivalent research commitment and efforts from both sides. The research should be carried out both in the State of São Paulo and the Czech Republic.

The call for proposals is available at: www.fapesp.br/14011.
