FAPESP announces call for proposals with Swiss National Science Foundation Versão em português
FAPESP and the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) announce a call for proposals in the Regular Research Grant or Thematic Project support opportunities. Open to all areas of knowledge, the call requires proposals to be submitted simultaneously to both institutions by the principal investigators in São Paulo and in Switzerland.
Regardless of the support opportunity chosen, the grant conditions include some exceptionalities, including a maximum duration of 48 months, for both Regular Research Grants and Thematic Projects.
Submissions must be preceded by an eligibility consultation by the São Paulo PI.
This call is the first initiative under the agreement signed between FAPESP and SNSF last September, which aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Switzerland and the State of São Paulo. FAPESP and SNSF will each support teams led by a PI based in their respective state or country.
The agreement also provides that the each party act as Lead Agency in alternate years, with the responsibility for evaluating the proposals according to the standards of their support instruments, with later confirmation of the decision by the Partner Organization.
The deadline for submitting proposals is April 1, 2021.
