Area Panel - Physics
PhD in Physics from the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (USP, 2003), with post-doctoral experience at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL, 2003-2005) and at the University of Texas at Austin from 2005 to 2006, in the United States. He was also a visiting professor at the University of Colorado Boulder (2017-2018).
He currently holds the position of Full Professor at the Institute of Physics at the University of São Paulo (USP). Previously, he served as a professor at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC, 2006-2023), where he also served as Vice-Rector (2010-2014) and Graduate Studies Provost (2014-2016).
His academic trajectory focuses on the area of Condensed Matter Physics, and currently his scientific work focuses on the areas of Materials Informatics, Quantum Materials and Materials for Energy.
