Elisa Yumi Nakagawa

Area Panel - Computer Science

She is an associate professor in the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of São Paulo (ICMC/USP).

She was a visiting researcher in 2019-2020 at the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (Fraunhofer IESE), Germany. She conducted her post-doctoral research at the University of South Brittany, France, in 2014-2015, and at Fraunhofer IESE, in 2011-2012. She received her Ph.D. degree (in 2006) and Master’s degree (in 1998) in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from USP. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science also from USP (in 1994).

She has coordinated several national and international research projects. She has organized national and international conferences and has served as a member of program committees of various conferences. She published more than 150 papers in selective journals and conferences, in addition to books and book chapters. She is a CNPq fellow. In ICMC/USP, she is the president of the International Relations Office.

Her main research contributions are concentrated in the area of Software Engineering, in particular, in software architecture, reference architecture, systems-of-systems, evidence-based software engineering, and healthcare.
