Call will promote joint projects in basic, applied and innovation-driven research among researchers from the state of São Paulo and the Colombian university.

The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the Universidad de Antioquia of Colombia (UdeA) launch a call for collaborative research proposals, the third call under their cooperation agreement. The call covers all fields of knowledge and aims to promote and strengthen collaboration in basic, applied and innovation-driven research.

This opportunity is open to joint proposals by researchers affiliated with higher education and research institutions in the state of São Paulo and with the Universidad de Antioquia. All projects should be jointly conceived by researchers from São Paulo and UdeA.

Proposals must be submitted exclusively via the SAGe platform (www.fapesp.br/sage) by July 11, 2022 and should follow the standards and conditions of the Regular Research Grants scheme (www.fapesp.br/apr).

Approved proposals will have FAPESP funding for São Paulo researchers and UdeA funding for their researchers. FAPESP will fund up to R$ 300,000.00 per approved proposal, which must have a planned project duration of up to 24 months. The institutions will focus on projects with a high degree of feasibility, potential for dissemination of scientific and whose technological knowledge brings a component of innovation, among other criteria.
