FAPESP launches new call with GACR, from the Czech Republic Versão em português

Selected projects may receive up to R$ 450,000 over three years from FAPESP. Proposals of basic research can be submitted in all areas of knowledge

FAPESP and the Czech Science Foundation (GACR) announce a new call for proposals under the cooperation agreement between the two institutions.

The call offers support to projects in all areas of knowledge, jointly designed and executed by researchers from Czech Republic research institutions and researchers linked to public or private higher education and research institutions in the state of São Paulo. Only basic scientific research proposals should be submitted to this call.

Each proposal must include a joint project, written in English. The project must involve equivalent efforts and commitment from both teams, as well as identical duration of the components under the responsibility of the team from the state of São Paulo and the Czech Republic. Approved projects are expected to start on January 1, 2024 and end within 36 months.

Researchers from the state of São Paulo must follow FAPESP's proposal submission instructions for Regular Research Grants, with the exception that the maximum duration allowed will be 3 years, with a budget limited to R$ 150,000 annually.

GACR has its own budget for this call. FAPESP will match the number of projects budgeted by GACR.
