New RIDCs are selected

Three centers were selected in the call for proposals focused on Humanities and Social Sciences, Architecture and Urbanism, Economics and Administration.

FAPESP announces the result of the second cycle of submission of proposals in the third call for proposals of the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (RIDC) program.

The cycle was focused on the large area of Humanities and Social Sciences, Architecture and Urbanism, Economics and Administration, with pre-proposals received until November 7, 2022 and complete proposals until May 17, 2023.

Initiated in 1998, the RIDC program aims to finance the establishment of world-class research centers, committed to the development of research, the training of human resources, the transfer of technology and the dissemination of knowledge to society.

In the first call for proposals, in 1998, proposals for the creation of 10 RIDCs were selected, and in the second, in 2011, 17. The current notice provides for the constitution of 18 Centers, to be chosen between 2021 and 2026 in six cycles of submission of proposals divided by area of knowledge.

In the first cycle, in 2021, proposals were submitted for RIDCs in the areas of Health, Biological and Agronomy and Veterinary Sciences. Proposals for RIDCs will also be submitted in the areas of Exact and Earth Sciences and Engineering and others in the areas of Health Sciences, Biological Sciences and Agronomy and Veterinary.
