Márcio Minto Fabricio

Area Panel – Architecture and Urbanism

He is a full Professor at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (IAU-USP). He is a Lecturer in Architecture, Urbanism and Technology at the São Carlos School of Engineering at the University of São Paulo (EESC-USP) (2008), Doctor in engineering from the Polytechnic School of USP (2002), Master in architecture and Urbanism at EESC-USP (1996), Civil Engineer from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) (1993). He was a visitor at the University of Huddersfield, in England, through the CAPES PrInt program (Feb-Mar 2020).

He coordinated several research projects funded by FAPESP, FINEP and CNPq, developed in the Architecture, Innovation and Technology-Arquitec research group at IAU USP. He published several articles in national and international journals and co-organized several books in the area of technology and architectural and construction design.

Editor of the journal Gestão Tecnologia de Projetos at IAU-USP. He served as a reviewer for several national and international journals. Responded to the Presidency of the National Association of Built Environment Technology - ANTAC (10/2012-11/2014), Director of Interinstitutional Relations at ANTAC (10/2010 to 10/2012), Member of the Fiscal Council of the National Association of Research and Postgraduate Studies-Graduation in Architecture and Urban Planning - ANPARQ (Management 2013-2014).

He carried out the Academic Coordination of the Interinstitutional Doctorate between IAU-USP and the State Universities of Maringá and Londrina - DINTER IAU-UEM-UEL (12/2011- 03/2016).

At IAU-USP he served as President of the Research Committee (11/2015 to 05/2018), President of the Committee for the Postgraduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism (11/2013 to 11/2015), and Vice-President of the Postgraduate Committee Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning (11/2011 to 11/2013). At EESC USP he was responsible for Coordinating the Undergraduate Course in Architecture and Urbanism (10/2003 to 9/2006).
