Opportunity covering four research areas will support scientific collaboration for 24 months.

FAPESP and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), Italy, announce the launch of a new call for proposals, the fourth under the cooperation agreement between the institutions.

Through the call, collaborative research projects will be selected in four areas: Culture, Imaterial Heritage, Interdisciplinary Networks; Agrifood and Sustainable Development; Technology and Innovation; and Health & Environment. The projects ought to be developed by researchers from institutions in the state of São Paulo and Italy.

The research project proposal must be prepared in English and jointly by a Principal Investigator in the state of São Paulo and a Principal Investigator from Italy. Each funding agency will fund the research of the team working in its respective territory, for a period of 24 months.

At FAPESP, researchers eligible under the call must meet the eligibility criteria of its Regular Research Grant modality. The limit of resources per proposal will be up to BRL200,000.00 per year.

Proposals must be submitted via the SAGe System (https://fapesp.br/sage) by the researcher from the state of São Paulo. In order for the principal investigator of the Italian half of the project to be listed as a member of the team at the time of submission, he/she must register in SAGe.

Proposals will be received until June 12, 2025.

The call is published (in Portuguese) at: https://fapesp.br/17445.
