Mobility and exchange activities and costs of exploratory studies in colaboration with the German institution will be supported.
FAPESP and Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, from Germany, announce the launch of a call for proposals with the aim of initiating research collaborations and deepen already established research connections between researchers from the state of São Paulo and Fraunhofer.
The Seed Fund 2025 Call for Proposals is the first call under the cooperation agreement between the institutions. Activities pursued under the call are expected to have benefits beyond the duration of the award, e.g., establishing long-term international collaborations, self-sustaining activities, and/or developing high-impact knowledge and technologies.
The call for proposals is intended to support mobility and exchange activities (such as travel and workshops) and the costs of exploratory studies (consumables, third-party services, and low-cost equipment).
Research developed in cooperation with industry is highly welcomed, benefiting from Fraunhofer´s innovative environment. The topics focus on all technology fields of the Fraunhofer Institutes based in Germany.
FAPESP and Fraunhofer will select a maximum of 5 proposals. FAPESP will provide funding of up to €12,500 per year, per initiative, for up to 24 months.
Applicants from the state of São Paulo should submit the joint proposal to FAPESP via the SAGe platform (fapesp.br/sage) no later than June 30, 2025.
The call for proposals is published at: fapesp.br/17540.
