FAPESP Announces Proposals Selected in Joint Call with Macau’s FDCT Versão em português

Published on February 06, 2026

Ten collaborative proposals have been selected and are expected to leverage key areas of science and technology in Macau and in the state of São Paulo.

FAPESP and the Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT) of Macau, China, announce the results of the joint research projects call launched in 2025—the first under the cooperation agreement between the two institutions.

The aim of the call is to promote and strengthen collaboration between researchers affiliated with higher education and research institutions in the state of São Paulo and researchers associated with institutions based in Macau.

As part of the “Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong–Macau” Scientific and Technological Innovation Corridor in the Greater Bay Area, Macau plays a crucial role as a research and development environment at the frontier of science and technology.

The collaborations are expected to leverage the strengths of researchers in both regions to address key areas of science and technology.
