Professor at Mackenzie Presbyterian University, member of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Political and Economic Law, and CNPq Research Productivity Fellow (2007-2010) and since 2012.

Bachelor's degree (1991) from the Faculty of Law of the University of São Paulo (USP) and Ph.D.(2001) and Post-doctorate (2005) in Law from the University of Paris I – Pantheon-Sorbonne. She was a Professor in the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Environmental Law at the State University of Amazonas (UEA/ 2003-2012), and an Adjunct Professor at the University of New England (NSW/Australia/ 2022-2024). She received scholarships from national agencies such as FAPESP, CNPq, and CAPES for the development of research projects.

Currently, she is a Member of the International Scientific Council of ISBlue – Interdisciplinary Graduate School for the Blue Planet since 2019 and a member of the Sectorial Scientific Committee of Human and Social Sciences (CCSS 4) of the Institut de Recherches pour le Développent (IRD) (2024-2027).

Leader of the CNPq Research Group on Law and Sustainable Development, she works mainly in the area of environmental law and international environmental law with an emphasis on the following themes: right to the environment, sustainable development, social and biodiversity issues, water, sea and oceans, urban space, climate change, and methodological innovations in legal research.
